Chiropractic for kids and teens in Sarasota

Most of our young patients are school age kids and teen athletes. Visits are short and gentle, a parent stays in the room, and we tell you plainly when a child does not need us.

How care differs for children

We use much less force with children, often fingertip pressure or a small instrument. Most of the visit goes to exercises a child can do at home.

We do not claim to treat ear infections, colic, asthma, bedwetting or attention problems, and we do not replace your pediatrician. If a child needs a pediatrician, we say so.

Young athletes

A teenage boy in a dark shirt crouches in a ready stance on a sunset field beside orange cones and palm trees.

Dr. Solberg checks how a young athlete runs, jumps and lands, then builds a short warm up for the sport. The plan goes home with the parent and, if you like, to the coach.

Questions about kids and teens

At what age can my child come in?

We see school age children and teens. For a baby or toddler, talk to your pediatrician first. We do not adjust a baby's spine.

Do I stay in the room?

Yes. A parent or guardian stays with every patient under 18 for the whole visit.
